Important Notice to Sagicor's Dental, Optical and Medical Providers

Dear Provider,

Provider Access System (PAS) is an integrated operating environment for the online, real-time, adjudication of health insurance claims, and is comprised of software as well as hardware peripherals.

PAS is delivered to providers on the basis of a licensing arrangement which anticipates Advanced Integrated Systems Limited (AIS) being responsible to maintain both the software and the hardware for the period of the license, and to underscore its commitment to doing so by way of clear obligation under the Provider Service Contract. Failure to execute the Provider Service Contract does not in any way preclude a Provider from using the PAS System but it affects and modifies the relationship with Advanced Integrated Systems Limited (AIS), and the way the relationship was intended to be structured.

Many Sagicor providers have recognized the importance and indeed the wisdom of executing the Provider Service Contract to secure their right to service, and to ensure the obligation of Advanced Integrated Systems Limited (AIS) to provide that service under very clearly defined responsibilities, terms and conditions, as laid out in the Provider Service Contract. To those providers Advanced Integrated Systems Limited acknowledges the highest duty of care.

However, for Providers who elect not to execute the Provider Service Contract and avail themselves of the rights available thereunder, Advanced Integrated Systems Limited (AIS) cannot acknowledge a level of responsibility equal to that due to those providers who have executed the Provider Service Contract. The arrangement between Advanced Integrated Systems Limited (AIS) and such Providers will, therefore, be construed to be (a) delivery of the requisite hardware peripherals and software, (b) installation and testing of same, indicated and established by the successful adjudication of three (3) test claims by Provider personnel in the presence of Advanced Integrated Systems Limited (AIS) personnel, (c) training of Provider personnel for the usual duration of up to nine (9) hours and (d), an implied warranty of sixty (60) days. Any calls made to Advanced Integrated Systems Limited (AIS) by a provider who has not executed the Provider Service Contract after the expiration of the sixty (60) day warranty period will be treated as a non-contracted service call, which will attract charges as detailed under "Schedule of charges".
