P.A.S. Installation Policy

Regarding the nature of AIS’ responsibilities at Provider sites:

While AIS is contractually obligated to deliver, install and configure a tested version of PAS that meets both Sagicor’s and AIS’ rigorous quality control standards, AIS is in no way obligated to make PAS work in each hardware and software environment.

Therefore, if it can be established that difficulties encountered during an installation are related to the hardware and/or software environment at a Provider’s site, and NOT to problems inherent with PAS, the Provider needs to be clear about the fact that we are not obligated to “do whatever it takes” to make PAS work on his/her computer(s).

Of course, it is in everyone’s best interest to get PAS installed and working at as many sites as possible, and as such, it stands to reason that AIS will make reasonable attempts to do so. However, when all reasonable troubleshooting methods have been exhausted at a site, AIS will communicate (in written and verbal form) the exact nature of the problem to the Provider(s) so that he/she may seek other computer professionals to deal with their hardware and/or software issues.

If necessary, AIS will gladly liaise with other computer professionals in an attempt to solve the problem(s). When the issues have been resolved, AIS will return as soon as possible to continue and complete the installation.
