There are many telehealth services, platforms, and devices on the market today. Yet, telehealth can still be considered to be in its infancy.

Douglas Halsall, the CEO of Advanced Integrated Systems Limited, disclosed that Supreme Ventures Limited has chosen his company as the technology partner for its mobile betting app, using its Quisk platform.

The lottery and gaming company confirmed that it had made progress on the project, but said it would await the results of tests that are now under way before going public with the details.

CEO and company founder Douglas Halsall is indicating that it will be another three years before Advanced Integrated Systems Limited, AIS, proceeds with plans to list on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, but is laying the groundwork for the expansion of the company in the interim.

Health sectors across developed and developing countries have long struggled with making improvements to infant and maternal health.

Worldwide these two indices are very high. For many lower socio-economic groups the problem is access to health care services. 

The Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation (KSAMC) wants to reinstitute parking charges in designated areas across the capital city and has identified 32 streets in New Kingston, Cross Roads and downtown to impose the tariff.

However, an implementation date is still pending because the KSAMC has not yet determined what system it will utilise to collect fees as it moves to meet a growing demand for street, parking that will provide the city management agency with a steady revenue stream.

The National Commercial Bank (NCB) indicated yesterday that the use of the Quisk mobile money platform by other companies will not impact its plans to sell the product as digital money available through its network.

Implemented in 2010 in Jamaica by Advanced Integrated Systems (AIS) – Quisk — to date, is at various stages of development by at least four other companies, AIS disclosed in mid-November.

Information technology company Advanced Integrated Systems (AIS) says its mobile money platform should go live in the next three months.

National Commercial Bank Jamaica is expected to be the first to roll out products and services through the platform, says Doug Halsall, chairman and CEO of AIS, but adds that they have three other financial service providers lined up as clients.
